I am a person-centered, solution focused therapist that will utilize the approach and skills that best meet your needs at this time in your life. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with both my Bachelors Degree and Masters Degree in Social Work. I utilize techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma Informed Care, Gottman style Couples/Marriage Counseling, Exposure Response Prevention Therapy (ERP) and Motivational Interviewing Therapy.
I have worked with adults having difficulty managing thoughts and emotions for over 15 years in a variety of settings including: community mental health outpatient, group homes and inpatient. I have expertise in assisting individuals with symptoms of depression and anxiety as well as a variety of other symptoms. In counseling we can work on developing coping skills, relaxation skills, healthy communication styles and establishment of positive boundaries. I look forward to providing a supportive environment to assist you with the challenges and changes that you may be facing at this time.
