South Hills Counseling Coronavirus Response

The safety and well-being of clients, families and employees has always been and will continue to remain a top priority at South Hills Counseling. We will no longer be conducting in office sessions starting on Monday, March 23, 2020 through at least Saturday May 2, 2020. We will be continuing to offer sessions through our Teletherapy platform, Simple Practice. Teletherapy is video conference sessions. The Simple Practice platform is fully confidential, secure and HIPAA compliant. We have already had many of our clients decide to continue treatment with us via video sessions and reports have shown this to be a very positive experience for clients. This option for continuing care applies to all clients regardless of insurance company. All insurances we accept have informed us they are covering this service for a minimum of 90 days in response to the Coronavirus, even if your specific insurance plan did not originally cover this service. Also, a very important update for all clients who have UPMC insurance and Aetna insurance. These companies will be covering all telehealth services at 100% for the next 90 days. This means that if you have UPMC or Aetna insurance there will be no charge to you for this time period, regardless of how your plan was previously covering. We hope all clients with UPMC insurance and Aetna insurance will take advantage of this benefit.
