South Hills Counseling Coronavirus Response

The safety and well-being of clients, families and employees has always been and will continue to remain a top priority at South Hills Counseling. We are once again open for in-person sessions. We will be continuing to offer sessions through our Teletherapy platform, Simple Practice. Teletherapy is video conference sessions. The Simple Practice platform is fully confidential, secure and HIPAA compliant. Please note due to COVID-19 precautions masks must be worn at all times within our waiting room and common areas. We are allowing masks to be removed for fully vaccinated individuals within the individual treatment room. If you want to remove your mask you will have to be willing to inform your counselor of your vaccination status. We are not requiring your vaccination card to be shown, but rather you will have to verbally attest to your vaccination status. Please note some of our employees may decide to continue wearing a mask regardless of vaccination status. This could be for a variety of reasons and vaccination status should not be assumed based on the counselor wearing a mask. We do not give out personal medical information of our employees and as a result will not answer any questions about your counselor's vaccination status. Also, our counselors will keep their mask on for the session unless you have informed them of your vaccination status and have decided to remove your mask, at that point your counselor may take their mask off if they so choose. Please note if you want your counselor to keep their mask on for any reason they will comply as the safety and comfort of our patients is of primary importance to us.
