    I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor that has experience working with adults, adolescents, families, and couples.  I am a person-centered, solution focused, strengths-based counselor.  I believe that therapy is a collaborative process and I will work with you to create a safe, non-judgmental, trusting atmosphere. I utilize and am trained in many therapeutic interventions, however, i am extensively trained in Motivational Interviewing Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy . I believe that it is essential to let you develop your own path to change, and use empathy as a cornerstone to help guide you in your personal journey.

    I have experience working with adolescents and adults in individual, group, and family therapy. I have provided counseling services in substance abuse facilities, autism service programs, and partial hospitalization facilities.  My clinical areas of expertise include but are not limited to Substance Abuse/Addiction, Anxiety, Grief/Loss, Depression, Trauma, Life Transitions, Marriage/Couples issues, and Self-Esteem/Confidence issues. A native of the Pittsburgh area, my educational background consists of a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Kent State University and my Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling from Carlow University.
