I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and received my Master’s Degree from the Canisius College in Buffalo, NY. I began my career in substance abuse, providing therapy to individuals, families, and groups in an outpatient setting. Taking my experience to New England, I gained extensive knowledge working with chemical dependency and co-occurring disorders as a primary therapist in intensive outpatient and community mental health centers. With a recent move back to my hometown of Pittsburgh, I use evidence-based practices and cognitive behavioral therapy based approaches to offer my clients the most effective care tailored to their unique needs. I pull from many treatment modalities, but the ones I focus on the most are person-centered therapy, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and exposure resonse prevention therapy (ERP). I believe that each client has the ability to change their thinking and their lives to find their optimal potential.
I work with adolescents and adults that have experienced depression, anxiety, grief, substance abuse, phobias and OCD as well as many other mental health challenges.
