Charles is a licensed professional counselor, nationally certified counselor, and proud member of the American Counseling Association. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Sociology as well as his master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from California University of Pennsylvania. Alongside his graduate studies, Charles earned a certificate in substance use disorder from Edinboro University, demonstrating his dedication to advancing his expertise. During this time, he was also honored with induction into Alpha Epsilon Lambda for his exceptional academic and professional achievements.
Charles adopts a holistic and integrative approach to therapy, skillfully blending evidence-based practices such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. He aims to create a welcoming and collaborative space where clients feel empowered to explore their concerns, recognize patterns, and develop practical tools for managing challenges. Charles deeply values the transformative power of therapy in fostering resilience, personal growth, and emotional well-being.
Charles provides individualized support to clients navigating depression, anxiety, life transitions, and gender and sexual identity. Through his experience in both community mental health and private practice, Charles has cultivated a passion for working with diverse populations. His dedication to advocating for and empowering LGBTQIA+ individuals reflects his deep commitment to creating inclusive and affirming spaces where clients can thrive. He takes pride in tailoring his therapeutic approach to meet each client’s unique needs, fostering a trusting environment to support their mental health journey.
