Ryan Navarro is a Licensed Professional Counselor who primarily works with teenagers and adults. His therapeutic approach incorporates cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and motivational interviewing. Ryan's hope is to help clients accomplish their personal goals for an improved quality of life by developing skills to form healthier ways of thinking.
With a M.S.Ed. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Duquesne University, Ryan brings specialized experience to his practice. He also supports clients dealing with depression, family and relationship conflicts, cognitive impairments, communication difficulties, low self-worth, sleep issues, and stressful life transitions.
Outside the therapy room, Ryan enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with family.
Ryan's previous work experience has included creating and implementing an eight-week grief support group for adults and a monthly drug and alcohol group for residential college students.
With specialized training in anger management and grief counseling, Ryan offers targeted support for clients working through difficult emotions and life transitions.
His experience with both individual and group therapy provides multiple approaches to help clients achieve their personal goals.
