Jessica Speer is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with all ages, with most of her experience being with Elementary age and up into adulthood. Her therapeutic approach is person-centered that leans heavily on Solution Focused therapy and CBT, though she has also been trained in EMDR, Motivational Interviewing, and DBT. Jessica supports clients with their growth in confidence and ability to manage their emotions and relationships so that they can live a fulfilling and happy life.
With both a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Social Work, Jessica brings specialized education in Gerontology and a certificate in Children, Youth and Families to her work. After college, she furthered her education and became a certified EMDR therapist through the Body Mind Institute. Jessica also supports clients dealing with Trauma, Grief and Loss, ADHD, and relationship difficulties.
Jessica believes everyone has value and should know that people care about them.
Outside the therapy room, Jessica enjoys hiking, kayaking, and generally being outside with her pup. If she's not doing that, she could very well be traveling someplace she has not been before or doing some sort of DIY project.
She helps individuals reach their goals and access their inner power by challenging negative thinking patterns.
With specialized certification in EMDR therapy, Jessica offers evidence-based trauma treatment..
Her background in both gerontology and children's services gives her a unique perspective on developmental challenges across one’s lifespan.
