Jenna Gilbert is a Licensed Professional Counselor who enjoys working with clients of all ages from about 16 and up. She has recently gravitated toward young to middle age women that have been struggling with life transitions—whether that is changes in life, parenting, aging or chronic illness, or trying to navigate helping the previous generation and finding their role in that. Her therapeutic approach incorporates humanistic/person-centered therapy, EMDR, somatic therapy, and CBT (DBT & ERP). Jenna believes that every person is unique and deserves to be heard, understood, and supported, offering guidance with warmth, empathy, and collaboration.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of PA and a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor through the PA certification board, Jenna brings specialized training in EMDR and ERP to her work. She also supports clients dealing with attachment and relationship issues, grief, self-esteem issues, and addiction.
Jenna is driven by the belief that everyone has the capacity for growth and healing, no matter how deep their pain. "My hope is that through our work together, clients gain a greater sense of self-awareness, resilience, and the tools to navigate life's challenges with clarity and confidence. Ultimately, I aim to create a space where they can feel seen, heard, and empowered to transform their lives."
Outside the therapy room, Jenna enjoys yoga, hanging out with her family & her dogs, listening to music or going to a live show, going to a Pitt football game, camping & paddle-boarding or kayaking, reading, and starting new hobbies she may or may not finish.
Jenna specializes in helping individuals work through challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem issues, life transitions, medical anxiety, and chronic conditions.
She is here to guide adolescents and adults toward growth, understanding, and healing.
Jenna isn't afraid to have tough conversations when they're needed, but always with compassion and care while empowering the client along the way.
