Braden Ambrose is a Licensed Professional Counselor who specializes in working with teenagers and adults facing a wide range of mental health challenges. Her therapeutic approach incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Braden creates a supportive environment where clients can experience both emotional release and moments of levity, believing that healing happens through a balance of empathy, support, and when needed, direct guidance.
With a Bachelor's of Science in Psychology from the University of Dayton and a Master's of Science degree in Counseling Psychology from Gannon University, Braden brings over 20 years of experience in the mental health field. She has worked across diverse settings including homes, school systems, residential treatment facilities, inpatient hospitalization, and private practice since 2012. She also supports clients dealing with grief and loss, end-of-life concerns, depression, coping skills development, communication challenges, and family dynamic changes.
Braden's goal is for clients to leave therapy with practical knowledge and coping skills to improve their lives and manage stressors more effectively. "It is always my hope and goal to have my clients leave the office feeling better than when they started. I welcome both tears and laughter in sessions, and want the therapy experience for my clients to be one of support, empathy and at times 'tough love.' I am very caring, compassionate and empathic but also direct when needed. I LOVE what I do for a living!! This is what I was meant to do."
Outside the therapy room, Braden enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing golf, working outside in the yard, and staying active.
Braden has established close working relationships with several cancer centers and programs throughout the Pittsburgh area, collaborating directly with oncology teams to support clients navigating cancer diagnoses.
Her extensive experience spans multiple treatment settings and populations, providing her with a comprehensive understanding of various therapeutic approaches and client needs.
With over two decades in the field, Braden brings both clinical expertise and genuine passion to her work, creating an atmosphere where clients feel truly supported and understood.
