Angie Conrad is a Licensed Professional Counselor who enjoys working with clients of all ages who are open to learning about themselves from a new perspective. Her therapeutic approach incorporates creativity (play, art, craft, writing, videos, thinking outside of the box), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy, CBT, psychoeducation, neuroscience (mind-body connection), and Reality Therapy. Angie loves working with individuals of all ages as it provides her day with a variety of adventure.
With specialized training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Exposure Response Prevention, Angie is currently completing her PhD in counselor education and supervision with a dissertation focused on creativity. She also specializes in creative interventions for a wide range of issues.
Angie's goal is to help people not allow negative experiences to define who they are but to let the solutions they find together define who they can be. "As a person, I believe every problem has a solution. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, it is my goal to work with you to find your solution. I have spent my career helping people find their strength and uniqueness to help them overcome any challenge in their way of success."
Outside the therapy room, Angie enjoys learning, which has led her to further her education with courses toward her PhD. She is the assistant editor of the Journal of the Pennsylvania Counseling Association. For fun, she enjoys spending time with her dog, traveling to different locations to learn about the world, and creative activities like painting, house projects, and crafts.
Angie loves learning and centers counseling on helping clients learn about who they are.
She works with clients to determine the way they want counseling to look so they can work as a team to achieve goals.
