Hi, I’m Sandra Hickey, a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor with a passion for helping children and families navigate life’s challenges and discover their fullest potential. I earned my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from California University of Pennsylvania, and since then, I’ve dedicated my career to creating a safe and supportive space for growth and healing.

I specialize in working with children and families dealing with anxiety, depression, autism, and adoption-related concerns. My approach is person-centered, meaning I tailor therapy to meet the unique needs of each child. I love using creative and engaging modalities like behavior modification, social skills building, play and creative arts therapy, and motivational interviewing to help my clients achieve their goals.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working in diverse settings, including inpatient psychiatric hospitals, home-based care, schools, residential treatment facilities, and community mental health. Each experience has deepened my understanding of how to meet children and families where they are and guide them toward brighter futures.

My goal is to inspire resilience, foster growth, and empower every child to shine in their own unique way. I believe that with the right support, every child can overcome challenges and thrive.
