“The difficult seasons we walk through are how we learn to build up strength to manage any situation.”
– Rachel Hollis
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor with a passion to help others. I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at Duquesne University and received a Master of Science degree in Professional Counseling at Carlow University. My working experience began at an inpatient psychiatric hospital setting in 2010 and expanded to a Partial Hospitalization Program, Intensive Outpatient Program and outpatient individual therapy. Over the years, I have enjoyed meeting with adolescents, adults and families as well as facilitating group therapy.
In my daily practice, I incorporate principles of and skills from evidence-based therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Family Based Therapy. My background consists of comprehensive training working with people struggling with Eating Disorders. Although Eating Disorders are my specialty, my experience includes but is not limited to Anxiety Disorders, Mood Disorders, body image issues, self-esteem issues and stress management.
I entered the mental health field believing recovery is possible and I have repeatedly witnessed this to be true. Recovery is possible and you have the courage to take the first step. You are enough and you are worthy of therapy.
You are not alone in this season. Together, we can build on your foundation of strengths and create a tool box to manage any season. Let’s get started!
