“Anything that’s human is mentionable, and anything that is mentionable can be more manageable. When we talk about our feelings, they become less overwhelming, less upsetting, and less scary. The people we trust with that important talk can help us know we are not alone.”

    – Fred Rogers

Hello! I am a Board Certified Art Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor. I primarily work with children of all ages, adolescents, and families. My experience includes working with children diagnosed with a spectrum of neurodevelopment disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Oppositional Defiance Disorder (ODD), Anxiety Disorders and Mood Disorders along with childhood trauma, family dynamic changes including divorce, adoption and foster system placement, childhood depression, transitional issues, separation anxiety, self-esteem issues, and social skill deficits. I received my degree in Art Therapy with a Specialization in Counseling from Seton Hill University along with certification in Autism Spectrum Disorders. Before working in an outpatient setting, I worked in Wraparound Services, working closely with children and families in the home and school environments.

My goal is to provided a safe and supportive place for clients to explore and create freely in whatever way they choose. Children process the world around them through play and creation. By using methods such as art and play therapy, children are able to safely explore their world, identify feelings and needs, and build coping skills to more effectively navigate through challenges. That is why I strongly believe in the power of art creation and play for children of all ages. Providing an environment where a client can make intentional and independent choices within their creative process allows space for processing, reflection, learning and connection. My main treatment modalities include Art Therapy, Play Therapy, Expressive Arts Techniques, Client-Centered Therapy and traditional talk therapy techniques. I have experience with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Behavioral Therapy along with Yoga and Mindfulness interventions. I also have years of experience developing and facilitating group therapy programs for children ages 3-18 years of age.

My goal as a therapist is to build relationships, help foster connection, develop a safe environment and maintain space for my clients to build creativity, confidence, hope and acceptance to reflect, adapt and grow within their world. Please feel free to contact me to discuss treatment options and how I can support you.
