“Every change begins with a vision and the decision to take action.” I realize that taking that first step to begin therapy can be a daunting experience. My hope is to provide a laid-back, comfortable, and supportive atmosphere, to maximize your therapeutic experience and help assist in reaching your goals. Whether you are seeking therapy to work through life’s stressors, experiencing relational issues, or improve your emotional regulation, I am here to help you navigate these experiences, provide insight, and learn to cope effectively. I have experience working in both schools and clinical settings, with children, adolescents, and adults; treating a wide variety of symptoms such as anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, OCD, grief and loss, life transitions, and much more.
My therapeutic style varies based on client needs, which is why I utilize a client-centered approach. However, I also pull a lot from theories that I am trained in such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Exposure Response Prevention Therapy (ERP) and Solution Focused Therapy (SFT). I am a firm believer that our mental health stems far beyond our emotional state, which is why I always take additional factors into consideration such as predispositions, physical health, and psychosocial factors.
I hold a Bachelors degree in Clinical Psychology from Robert Morris University and a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Duquesne University. I am a practicing Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) as well as a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). I am looking forward to beginning this journey together!
